Campaign videos for city council candidates

I make city council campaign videos from the photos and phone clips you already have. No film crew, no script, no shoot day. You send notes and pictures; I cut a finished ad you can post or email.

video idea 1

Introduce your city council campaign

Neighbors vote for people they recognize. An introduction video puts your face and name on their screen before election day: who you are, what you do, why you run. It needs a portrait photo, a short clip of you talking to camera, and a few lines about your background and your reason for running.

15 or 30 seconds

video idea 2

Turn a local issue into a short video

You have been on that street. You have a photo of the faded crosswalk, the streetlight that is out, the empty storefront. Send those pictures and a phone clip of you on that block saying what you would do about one local issue. I cut it into a short ad with captions and music.

30 or 60 seconds

Photos and clips to send

Send your photos and notes. A portrait, pictures at a neighborhood meeting, a phone clip of you on the street you care about. Photos alone work; I do not need new footage.

  • Portrait photo, taken on your street
  • Pictures at a neighborhood meeting or door-knocking
  • Phone clip of you talking to camera
  • Photo of the street, park or storefront
  • Short notes: who you are, what you want to fix

The sample below is for a made-up candidate, Maria Torres, running for city council in District 2. She sent three phone photos, one 8-second clip and five short notes. What came back: a 20-second vertical ad in a classic campaign-spot style, with her own voice and the Paid for by line.

Questions

Do I need a script?

No. I write the video from your notes. If you already have a script, send it and I will use that instead.

Can the video name my ward and its streets?

Yes. I take the ward or district name and the street names from your notes and put them on screen where neighbors see them.

What if my street has no good photos?

Take them on your phone. A portrait on the sidewalk, a clip of you talking to a neighbor at their door. That is enough.

Do you film anything for me?

No. I work from what you send. No crew, no shoot day, no travel. Your phone photos and clips are the material.

How does the Paid for by line work?

Your committee gives me the exact wording it is required to use. Rules differ by state and office, so I follow whatever you send.

Can I order more than one video?

Yes. An order holds up to five videos. Each gets its own short brief, its own length and shape.
