Who runs this site

Campaign Cuts is run by me, Lukas, through Loreley Trading and Services LLC. The contact email is contact@campaigncuts.com. A card charge appears as CAMPAIGN CUTS.

If I emailed you about a video

I find candidates for local office in public sources: Ballotpedia election listings and campaigns' own websites. From those I take the name, the office, the public campaign email address and public campaign photos. With these I make a short personal video and a personal page on this site, and email you a link.

I keep a list of who I have contacted, whether they replied and whether they ordered. Personal pages are marked so search engines do not list them. Only someone with the link finds one.

If you do not want that page or video, reply to my email or write to contact@campaigncuts.com. I take the page and video down, remove you from my list, and do not email you again.

What I collect when you order

The order form asks for the campaign's name and office, an email address, optionally a phone number and the "Paid for by" wording, a short description of each video, and optionally photos and video clips. The descriptions and files are stored privately. Only I can reach them. I use them to make the videos and to write to you about the order.

Payments

Payments go through Stripe on Stripe's own page. Card details go to Stripe and never reach this site or me. I see the amount, the email address used and whether the payment succeeded.

How the videos are made

I use third-party software and AI services for parts of the work: voiceover, music, image and video generation. Material from an order is sent to such a service only to make that order's videos.

What the site measures

My own visitor statistics (a self-hosted tool called Umami) and Cloudflare's web analytics record which pages are viewed, which buttons are pressed and how much of a video is played. Neither sets advertising cookies. There are no advertising trackers on the site.

If you open the personal page I made for you, these statistics are tied to that page, so I can tell it was opened and how much of the video was watched. Your browser remembers which personal page you opened and keeps an unfinished order form on your own device so it is still there when you come back.

Who else handles your details

Each service below handles data only for its job:

Cloudflare hosts the site, stores order files, and sends the order confirmation email.
Stripe handles payments.
Resend sends me a notification when an order is paid.
Railway hosts the visitor statistics.
Google hosts my mailbox, when we exchange email.
The software and AI services used to make a video.

I do not sell or rent anyone's details. I do not share them for advertising.

Keeping and deleting

I keep order and payment records for my bookkeeping. On request I delete an order's files and descriptions, a personal page and its video, and a contact entry. Write to contact@campaigncuts.com and I answer the request myself.
